Summer Camps 2019
All ELM Summer Camps have a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) focus. Science activities at the early childhood level include things like exploring water and sand, comparing and contrasting natural materials like rocks and soil, rolling balls across the room, and looking through a magnifying glass to count how many legs are on a bug. Technology activities include computers (iPads), but also identifying simple machines like gears and wheels and pulleys. Engineering in the early childhood classroom happens when children are planning and designing every-day structures with little teacher direction. Math activities include counting and matching shapes and making patterns. ELM summers are always a load of fun and fill quickly!
