WHAT MAKES ELM UNIQUE?
LEADERSHIP: Students are taught leadership skills (since 2010) through Franklin Covey’s ‘Leader in Me’ program based on Steven Covey’s book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
STRENGTHS-BASED: Every child can succeed when the focus is on the strengths they have instead of what they lack. Confidence and academics improve in all areas.
LOW STUDENT TO TEACHER RATIO: These numbers ensure that each child receives individual attention and the opportunity to build a relationship with their teachers.
DIVERSITY: ELM students come from many different ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds. Over 15 home languages are regularly represented in our student body.
STUDENT and TEACHER LED: ELM offers a careful balance of structure and choices. Children and adults share the control.
PARTNERSHIP: Teachers and families engage in ongoing communication and partnership. We welcome your involvement through picnics, parent seminars, and optional volunteering.
DEDICATED SCHOOL EXPERIENCE: ELM is not childcare. We focus solely on providing a quality school for children ages 3-6. Classes begin and end at scheduled times with consistent classmates and teachers.
INDEPENDENT: ELM is not a franchise. We are one location and work to continually improve and adapt our program to meet the needs of the children and families in our community.
LONG HISTORY of POSITIVE REVIEWS: Over 10 years of online reviews speak for themselves! Learn what others have to say here.
MULTI-AGE: ELM offers the best of both worlds with a mix of same-age and multi-age groupings throughout each day.
